“ So sorry to verify the Seafood Port is permanently closed, but there is good news! They have a 2nd location, just over a mile South at 22922 Hawthorne Blvd in Torrance. Same menu, same dishes, same prices, same tasty food. ”
“ It is with such a heavy heart that I say goodbye to this pillar of Chinese cuisine in the South Bay. Every celebration, family get together, food craving led us here for many many many years. We will miss the crispy fish, the noodles, the shrimp, the pork chops, the EVERYTHING! Today 12/7 was their last take out day :'( The dining room closed SAT 12/2/3023 Please someone, anyone: Hire the chefs, keep the extensive menu and open the exact same restaurant here asap!!! ”
“ Sad to hear that this place was closing the day we decided to go. It was good we were able to sit down and eat one last time at this place. As usual, the lunch time rush was busy. But we got seated within ten minutes. Interior never changed. Same seats, same decorations, same staff. All in all it was good. No lunch specials since it was their last day of service. But pork chops were spot on! I always enjoy it. We also got shrimp and broccoli, French style beef, and fried flounder. All were great. Not to mention their tapioca dessert which I will miss greatly. . ”
“ It seems silly to have never reviewed a restaurant my family and I have been coming to for over 29 years. It's even more silly to review a restaurant that is closing in less than a week but here I am. Seafood Port is a Torrance institution and it's closing its doors after 23 years. Over the years my staples have been ma po tofu, Kung Lao chicken, beef with flat noodles (no gravy), house fried rice and ginger and scallion crab. Im not sure I will find another restaurant which we can turn to for good Chinese food at a reasonable price. The last day for take out is 12/7 and the wait times have been 45 minutes up to an hour as loyal customers flock one last time to place that one last order. I'm happy for the owners who finally get to retire and enjoy life. They deserve it. ”
“ 23 years and closing - best local Chinese food place here in South Bay with best lunch special prices with huge portions. The owner at the counter runs a tight ship and keeps everything moving well, there's always a steam of those eating in the dining area vs the take out stream of people. Inside is cozy and always nearly packed on the weekends with happy eaters! Our fav's include the Salt n Pepper Pork, S&P squid, S&P fish, Special Fried Rice, and the list goes on - you can't go wrong! Get here quick about 10 days before closed for good or we hope they find a new nearby home! ”
